Colorado Ski Country USA Sees Mid-Season Momentum
DENVER, Colo. – March 22, 2013 – Buoyed by improving snow conditions in January and February, skier visitation partially rebounded from an early season deficit and teed up optimism for spring. Owing in part to weather patterns more consistent with an average winter, Colorado Ski Country USA’s (CSCUSA) 21 member resorts saw total skier visits increase 1.3 percent during the second period of the 2012/13 ski season, defined as January 1 through February 28, compared to the same period last year.

Colorado Welcomes Spring To Rocky Mountains With Fresh Powder
Denver, Colo. – March 22, 2013 – The state’s typically snowiest month continued in Colorado with a spring storm that left copious amounts of new snow at virtually all Colorado Ski Country USA resorts. Thanks to the storm that is sweeping through the state, many guests on Spring Break will have the chance to enjoy fresh powder, and with more snow in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow, it serves as a timely reminder that the 2012/13 ski season is not ready to be over.

Flocks of Skiers and Snowboarders Migrate to Colorado Slopes
Denver, Colo. – February 5, 2013 – As snow stacked up at Colorado ski resorts recently, skiers and snowboarders renewed their devotion to the state’s signature sports. Absolving doubts that variable conditions were keeping skiers involved in other pursuits, Colorado Ski Country USA resorts were greeted with booming weekend traffic. Colorado Resorts Benefit From Mid Season Powder Play
Denver, Colo. – January 29, 2013 – Old Man Winter made a significant powder play this week giving the Colorado ski season a major boost. Several days of consistent snowfall in Colorado’s high country was capped off this morning with accumulations totaling as much as 6 feet in some areas. Every resort received new snow and double digit snow totals were reported at many resorts throughout Colorado Ski Country from Aspen to Wolf Creek.

Colorado Skier Visits Show Slow Start to 2012/13 Ski Season
DENVER, Colo. – January 18, 2013 – Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) reported today that total skier visits at its 21 member resorts decreased 11.5 percent during the first period of the 2012/13 ski season, defined as opening day through December 31, 2012, compared to the same period last year.

National Safety Awareness Week Recognized Throughout Ski Country
DENVER, Colo. – January 14, 2013 – Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) and its 21 member resorts are hosting safety themed events in an effort to raise awareness of ski safety among skiers and snowboarders. In conjunction with the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA), CSCUSA resorts will recognize National Safety Awareness Week that begins on Saturday, January 19, and runs through January 27.

Furious Winter Conditions Prepare Resorts For Holiday Week
Denver, Colo. – December 20, 2012 – Storm patterns that left Colorado resorts with copious amounts of precipitation over the previous weeks continued to swell during the past 48 hours, dropping fresh inches of fluffy powder at locations across the state. Further storm conditions are expected in the coming weeks, perfectly timed with the Christmas and New Year holidays on the horizon. The consistent weather patterns are enabling resorts throughout Colorado to open more terrain.
