Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort
With
more than 85 runs and 1,300 skiable acres,
Purgatory's consistent powder and sunny skies make for an
exceptional skiing and snowboarding experience. Last season marked
the opening of Purgatory Lodge, a new $50-million base facility
complete with new shops, a restaurant, and an outdoor pool and spa.
In December 2009, Purgatory will unveil 125 new acres of expert
tree-skiing on the back side of the mountain. There's plenty new at
Purgatory, but the reasons people love to come here haven't
changed.

Purgatory is located just 25 miles north of the historic mining
town of Durango, Colorado. Named one of "America's Best Small
Towns" by Outside magazine, Durango offers a wide array of
shopping, dining and recreational opportunities, including more
restaurants per capita than San Francisco. A spectacular location,
friendly staff, and some of the best ski weather in America make
Purgatory the perfect place for a memorable winter vacation.
