Skiing or Snowboarding, Levels 1-4


Specifically designed to meet the needs of beginner-level skiers and snowboarders, Beginner's Magic utilizes a teaching method that promotes peak performance, confidence and mountain awareness. Our fully trained pros will familiarize you with the use and feel of the specialized beginner equipment and how it works with the snow surface. As you progress, you will learn how to use the chairlift and will access more and more of the mountain. Your progress will astonish you… it's guaranteed.
The Beginner's Magic package includes instruction, lift ticket and specialized equipment rental voucher. Extensions are encouraged and are available through level 4. Lessons are available every day at Snowmass and Buttermilk. Arrive at the meeting place at 9:45 a.m. with your lift ticket, lesson ticket and equipment.

TIP: Save time and hassle by picking up your Beginner's Magic equipment after 2p.m. the day before at the Beginner's Magic Store in Base Village (open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or at any of our five other Four-Mountain Sports rental locations (open 9 a.s, in Snowmass and Aspen). Allow one hour prior to lesson start time for equipment rental if renting the morning of the lesson. Beginner's Magic SKIERS at Snowmass may also choose to pick up their equipment the morning of thier first lesson at Beginner's Magic rental location at the top of the Elk Camp Meadows Gondola, allow one hour before class time.

Learn to Ski or Ride at Echo Mountain, Denver's closest and cheapest! The Echo Mountain Ski & Ride School offers quality instruction programs for beginning skiers and riders of ALL ages less than an hour from Denver. Two learning centers with dedicated surface lifts provide the ideal environment for safety, fun and learning.

Ski and snoboard group lessons are offered daily (except Tuesday) at 10:15a, 1:15p, 3:15p and 5:15p (5:15p not available Sundays). Lessons are noe hour and 45 minutes, and advanced reservations are required to guarantee space. While walk-ups will be accommodated if space is available, classes do fill on weekends and holidays. Please book early to guarantee your spot.

Mini Mountaineers - Ages 4-5
Echo's BEST program for the littlest skiers! Focus on beginning skill development and most importantly, fun. Start in our Learning Center One on the Thumper Magic Carpet, which is designed for a safe learning environment. Three consecutive lessons starting in January on either Wednesdays or Thursdays are ideal for first timers and beginners. Morning or afternoon sessions are available, and reservations are required. Mini Mountaineers Pricing

Mountaineers - Ages 6-14
Echo Mountaineers are encouraged to ski and ride all over the mountain playground. Carve it up on the groomers or through the trees, or hop and jump through the mountain features! Explore the entire mountain playground, and take your skills to the next level. It's a great way to build life long relationships and other participants.

The Mountaineers program starts January 9, and classes are from 9a-12p on three consecutive Saturdays on January 9, 16 and 23. The three-week Mountaineers session is $225 for Echo Pass Holders or $270 with lift tickets. Add rental equipment for $60. Reservationa are required and can be made at echomt.com.

Progression Session
Learn new moves and how to ride a wide variety of features and freestyle terrain with members of Team Echo. Topics will vary weekly allowing freestyle enthusiasts to get the latest inside scoop on taking your park skills to the next level.

Progression Sessions are offered every Saturday and SUnday on January at 3pm. The cost is $15.00 for a one-hour session, and a lift ticket or season pass is required for hill access. Reservations are not required. Sign up day of in the Echo Lodge.
