Crested Butte Mountain Resort is moving forward with plans and improvement projects for the 2008-2009 winter season after experiencing the resort's snowiest winter on record last season, with a total of 421 inches of snow and an unprecedented 100 inch base on closing day.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort improvements slated for the 2008-2009 winter season are focused on creating an enhanced guest experience. New this winter - increased and expanded airline service, upgrades and remodel of the Treasury Center, a new "Camp CB" replacing Kids World, on-mountain terrain expansion in Teocalli Bowl, glading and brush cutting on the mountain. Along with these improvements, the resort base area hotels continue to expand guest amenities and services. The Lodge at Mountaineer Square, Elevation Hotel and the Grand Lodge were recently accepted and are now part of the prestigious Preferred Hotel Group.
